Pre-Tour Questions
Who can join the tour?
If the idea of hitting the open road excites you, you’ll fit right in. These tours are for travellers who want more than just ticking off landmarks — it’s about discovering hidden corners, meeting locals, and feeling part of the place you’re exploring. Think of it less as following a tourist map and more as turning the pages of Europe’s storybook, one road at a time.
Driving licence and age requirements
All you need is a valid driver’s licence for at least 3 years, or experience of around 30,000 km (18,641 Miles) behind the wheel. No special training, no racing skills — just the confidence of being a regular, active driver. If you’re comfortable cruising through your hometown, you’ll be ready for these adventures.
I’ve never driven in Europe - is that a problem?
Not at all. European roads are generally safe, smooth, and well-kept. And you won’t be alone — your Tour Leader is there to guide you, answer questions, and make sure you feel at ease. Imagine driving down scenic highways with clear signs and beautiful views, knowing someone always has your back.
How many cars are in a group?
We like to keep it cozy. Picture a convoy of about 10–15 cars, each with one or two travelers, weaving through mountain passes or rolling countryside. Small enough to feel like friends on a journey, big enough to share the fun with others.
Can I join on my own?
Yes — and many people do. These tours are a great way to meet fellow adventurers who share your love for travel and road trips. You might start the journey as strangers, but after a few dinners and a few hundred kilometers, chances are you’ll finish with new friends.
Do I need to rent a car, or can I bring my own?
Both options work. Most travelers rent a car — it’s often easier, especially if you’re coming from far away. But if you live close to the country where the tour starts, you’re welcome to bring your own wheels. Whether it’s a rental hatchback or your trusty car at home, what matters is the road ahead.
What type of car can I drive?
Almost anything that’s roadworthy. Fancy trying a zippy little city car? Go for it. Prefer something bigger and more comfortable? That works too. You can rent whatever fits your style — or bring your own if you’d like. The real joy is in the freedom of the drive, not the badge on the hood.
Is the tour only about driving?
Definitely not. Driving is the adventure that connects everything, but the stops along the way are just as important. One moment you might be walking through a centuries-old town square, the next relaxing by a beach or enjoying local food with your group. It’s not about endless hours behind the wheel — it’s about the balance of road and discovery.
Do we drive together as a group all the time?
Not always. Think of it as a journey with structure but plenty of freedom. We’ll share meals together, but during the day you can choose: stick with the group for the camaraderie, pull over for a photo at a hidden viewpoint, or go explore on your own before rejoining at dinner. It’s your adventure – we just make it easier to enjoy.

General Questions During The Tour
Accommodation
We aim to make your nights as enjoyable as your days on the road. Most of the time, we stay in comfortable 4-star hotels — but depending on the location and availability, that could mean a charming 3-star inn or even a 5-star retreat. Think of it as part of the adventure: each place has its own character, but always with comfort at the core.
Single or double room?
By default, our tours are designed for two people sharing a room — either with a double bed or twin beds. Traveling solo? You’ve got options: request your own private room (with a single supplement), or let us pair you with a fellow solo traveler of the same gender to share a twin room, so you can save on costs and maybe even make a new road trip buddy.
Are flights included?
Flights are not included — you’ll need to arrange those yourself. We keep it this way so you can choose the flights, routes, and times that work best for you. Once you land, we’ll take care of the rest.
What if my car breaks down?
No one wants car trouble on holiday, but we’re prepared if it happens. If you’re driving a rental, the company provides breakdown cover and a replacement vehicle, so your journey won’t be cut short. If you’re bringing your own car, make sure you have valid breakdown cover before the trip — that way, you can stay focused on the fun, not the flat tires.
What documents do I need to rent a car?
Renting a car in Europe is simple, but a few essentials are required. You’ll need your driver’s licence — and if you’re from outside the EU or UK, possibly an international driving permit as well. A valid passport and a credit card in your name are also required, since most rental companies won’t accept debit cards. With these in hand, you’ll be ready to hit the road.

Money & Insurance
Do I need personal travel insurance?
Absolutely. We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance before your journey begins. Think of it as your safety net — something you hope you never need, but you’ll be glad it’s there if life throws a curveball. From lost luggage to unexpected hiccups, it keeps your adventure stress-free.
What kind of car insurance do I need?
If you’re renting a car, you’ll find plenty of insurance options — but we always advise going for full coverage. That way, you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about the “what ifs.” We’ll even help guide you through the choices.
Bringing your own car? Make sure your insurance covers every country on our route. That way, no matter where the road takes us, you’ll be fully protected.
What’s included in the tour package?
We take care of the essentials so you can focus on the joy of the drive. Your package includes:
- Comfortable accommodation with breakfast each morning.
- Car rental (unless you prefer to drive your own).
- A Tour Leader who guides you from start to finish, always there if you need support.
- A digital tour guide sent before your trip, complete with routes, key stops, and local tips to spark your curiosity.
It’s everything you need to enjoy the journey without drowning in the details.
What’s not included in the tour package?
Some things we leave in your hands, so you can shape the trip to your taste. These are not included:
- Fuel, parking fees or road tolls outside of the standard rental package.
- Meals and drinks beyond breakfast.
- Flights to and from the tour.
- Transfers before or after the trip.
- Optional activities and entrance fees — so you’re free to choose what excites you most.
Is my money protected?
Yes. Your booking is protected under official travel rules and regulations. Simply put: your money is safe, and your journey is secure. That way, you can book with confidence and look forward to the road ahead.
